My Journey to Becoming a Psychotherapist

I find hope in what is real, not empty platitudes. I know what it's like to feel misunderstood, having gone through my own painful traumas and life experiences. It is the very pain I have known, and in some ways still know, that motivates me in my work. I find journeying with people in the "trenches" to be ironically sustaining because pain is real, it's not make believe. I find immense meaning in seeing people become more complete versions of themselves by facing the pain and suffering of life.
