What kind of therapy do you provide: in person, phone, and/or virtual?

I provide virtual and phone therapy sessions. Virtual and phone therapy allows for support from the comfort and safety of your home. This approach has been shown to be a very effective option for many individuals seeking help. While it is relatively new, I understand you may have concerns. Please feel free to contact me, and we can discuss any questions you might have. I look forward to seeing you soon!

What is your rate?

My rate for psychotherapy is $199 per hour. Please note that psychotherapy services are HST exempt in Canada.

Will my insurance cover my sessions?

As a registered psychotherapist, many insurance plans cover my services. To confirm the specifics of your coverage, please check with your insurance provider for details. It’s a straightforward process that can help you access the support you need.

What virtual platform do you use?

I use OWL Practice, a PHIPA compliant practice management software, for virtual calls. It's user-friendly and designed to ensure your privacy and ease of interaction. If you prefer another platform, such as Zoom, Google Meet, etc. we can discuss those options to find what works best for you.

Is psychotherapy only for the "seriously mentally ill"?

This is a common misunderstanding. Psychotherapy is beneficial for a wide range of concerns, not just severe mental illness. Many people seek therapy to navigate life transitions, cope with stress, improve relationships, gain self-awareness, or foster personal growth and inner healing. It's a space for anyone looking to understand themselves better and enhance their well-being.

What therapy approaches do you use?

In our sessions, we utilize a variety of effective therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman’s Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Our goal is to determine the best approach that meets your individual needs, ensuring a personalized and supportive experience. Let’s work together to find what fits you best!

What are your available appointment hours?

I offer flexible hours that include various options during the day, in the evening, and on weekends. My goal is to accommodate your unique situation and preferences. Together, we can discuss what works best for you to ensure that our schedule aligns seamlessly with your lifestyle. Your convenience is a priority, and I am here to provide the support you need in a timeline that suits you.
